Vista Peaks Ward did us a huge favor by providing a Santa photo op, thus avoiding the trip to the mall to see creepy Santa. Kudos to the activities committee for putting on the party of all parties complete with a Polar Express ride. The kids were captivated and we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast buffet. It was nice to not be in charge of an activity for once. After today, I think we were the weak link in the planning process.
Sophie was only slightly less terrified of Santa this year. At this rate, I figure she will embrace him by the time she is ten, just in time to not believe any more. Sorry kids, but everyone has got to have a screaming photo with the fat bearded man in red before their childhood is over.
