Tribute to the Dads

I can't let Father's day go by without a little tribute to the Dads who have had such an influence on me.
Thanks to my Dad who taught me the value of being loyal, honest, and hard-working. For a man who reportedly wanted two kids and somehow ended up with eight, he showed how to keep going through the thick and the thin of it all. He often worked three jobs at times to keep us comfortable and safe. He is true to his convictions (except maybe the one about how many kids he wanted) and is a constant example of how to find happiness by serving others.

Thanks to my husband who loves nothing more than to spend an entire morning putting a Lego ship together with his boys (like he did this morning), who has never missed one of his kid's ball games, and who has spent countless hours rocking a fussy baby, so that I could get some sleep.

And finally thank you to the Dad I never had a chance to meet, but who has had a positive impact on everyday of my life because of the Dad that he was to his son.

To all the Dads, Happy Father's Day!
