So we made it past the first week jitters. I always hold my breath to see if they will wake up happy and willing to go to school after the first day. They were. Milan switched schools this year, so it is always pretty awesome to have your fourth grader cousin to watch your back.
Jake, Milan, and Dylan are all smiles waiting for the bus on the first day.

Sophie has bedhead like no other, but it doesn't stop her from seeing her boys off and meeting up with Lani. Sophie said to me at least five times the first day, "It's just me and you, Mom." She likes that but had a giant hug for the boys when they got off the bus. I apparently wear thin quite quickly.
Not so much as a backwards glance.
